House of Heroes gives back to those who served Veteran’s Day
WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - The House of Heroes project is giving back to those who served on Veteran’s Day.
The non-profit honored two local veterans on Saturday by working on repairs for their homes.
Roughly 35 volunteers from Sikorsky helped repair the homes of 88-year-old James Kelvey and 44-year-old Chris Cardia, both from Wallingford.
Kelvey served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 and Cardia served in the Marines from 1999 to 2003, including two tours in the Middle East.
